MV Carpe Diem

Carpe Diem has 10 comfortable cabins of different standards divided over 3 decks. The different cabin types are suite (1), deluxe (1), high standard (2) and standard (6). All cabins have individually controlled AC, safety deposit boxes and their own private bathroom with toilet and hot water shower. The electricity voltage on board is of 220V and the plugs are of 3 pins US type. All the cabins have a name instead of a number starting with a S to stay within the S-holiday concept of the Carpe Diem.

Suite

The very spacious suite, our SUN cabin, with over 20 m2 in size is located at the upper deck. The suite has a king size bed, a wide flat screen TV plus DVD/MP3 player, mini fridge and an ample closet plus storage space. The 5 windows give a beautiful view to the sea.

 

Deluxe Cabin

Opposite the suite on the upper deck is another big cabin, the STAR cabin, with a queen size double bed, flat screen TV plus DVD/MP3 player and 3 windows overlooking Maldives blue waters.

High Standard

The Carpe Diem has two high standard cabins, SEA and SAND, which are a little smaller than the deluxe cabin on the upper deck and located on the main deck with queen size double beds and TV plus DVD/MP3 players.

Standard

A total of 6 standard cabins, SALSA, SCUBA, SURF, SMILE, SHELL and SKI are located on the cabin deck below the main deck. 4 of these standard cabins are very spacious having a queen double bed and bunk bed and therefore can take triple occupancy. The 2 other standard cabins each have a twin bed and bunk bed and can only take double occupancy. All standard cabins have portholes.

Spa: Carpe Diem S-Holiday Spa is a Special Small comfortable Space where your inner beauty will Shine. Our expert therapist will take care of your body, mind and soul through natural treatments.

Treatments available are our signature ‘Seize the day massage’, Sports massages, Specific Thai massages, Shooting Foot reflex massages, Soft Aromatherapy massages, Special deep tissue, Scalp massages, Slimming massages … apart from several facials and your traditional manicure/pedicure.

Calm your mind and draw in the serenity of your surroundings and leave the troubles of the world behind.

Activities

Sports & Recreation:

Scuba Diving: On board we have a fully equipped PADI licensed dive school offering courses for beginners up to several Specialty Courses for the more experienced divers. All the equipment is located on a newly built diving dhoni, specially designed for this purpose with the latest technologies available in the diving market, such as Nitrox breathing mixtures prepared with top quality equipment (Nuvair Membranes and Coltrisub Compressors).

Surfing: Our S-holiday package would not be complete without the possibility of catering for the surfers during the Surfing season. As the season is almost over for this year, the Carpe Diem will be ready for the Surfing season next year and offer itineraries specially chosen for an excellent Surfing experience, possibly with some Salsa dancing in the evenings……?!

Skiing: Apart from diving, the MV Carpe Diem offers their guests more S-activities on the water. Imagine ‘seizing the end of the afternoon’ by a fun joy ride on our Jet ski (the Jet ski can hold 3 persons) cruising at your own speed. For the more sporty and adventurous types you can try out how to water ski or just simply hold on to our O-ring behind the jet ski and take in the beautiful surroundings and colours of the Maldives.

Sunset Fishing: Just before sunset our experienced crew, who started their lives working on fishing boats will show you the traditional Maldivian fishing techniques. Their knowledge about how to find the appropriate sites with an abundance of fish, will guarantee you catching your first Maldivian fish and a picture worth a special place in your S-holiday photo album! Our Chef will be more than happy to prepare the catch of the day for your next splendid dinner!

Dining

High quality food will be served on Carpe Diem Live aboard. You will enjoy the excellent variety of our fine dining Chef for European and International Cuisine and our Experienced Local Chef for a delicious variety of Maldivian, Thai and Indian cuisine. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are served in a comfortable area with a splendid view.

Our wine menu is designed to ensure that you enjoy the best the New World wineries have to offer as well as the elegance and charm of the Old World châteaux.
