Reethi Rah, Maldives in the North Male Atoll has 130 exquisite villas, some of the largest in the Maldives, designed by world famous architect Jean Michel Gathy. Grand Beach Villa
The largest villas at the resort, Grand Beach Villas are hidden amidst tropical foliage with private access to the lagoon and beach. With an astounding interior space, the villas offer one or two bedrooms, separate dining and sitting room, and a spacious bathroom with a luxurious bath for two with walk-in rain and jet shower. Shady verandas provide a generous outdoor seating area, a private 25m2 (82ft2) pool, and canopied day bed. (One-bedroom 260m2/2,798ft2, Two-bedroom 322m2/3,465ft2)
Duplex Beach Villa
An ideal family option, these villas feature one King-size bed villa and a villa with two Queen-size beds plus divan (accommodating up to four small children and a nanny, or a couple with three older children). The two freestanding villas are linked by a path screened by lush vegetation, making it possible to use them separately. (135m2/2,906ft2 plus 165m2/1,776ft2 with pool)
Grand Water Villas with Pool
Perched majestically on sturdy platforms above the lagoon, these westward-facing villas offer stunning views of dazzling Maldivian sunsets. Surrounded by chic decking, each offers wraparound over water hammocks, platforms for sun beds, a 20m2 (215ft2) private pool, and covered outdoor dining and seating. (241m2/2,594ft2)
Water Villa
These villas are the same size as the Beach Villas, and feature netted wraparound hammocks suspended over the water on the outer rim of the deck allowing for breezy sunbathing or relaxing stargazing. (149m2/1,603ft2)

Located in a secluded area of the resort with expansive relaxation lawns and manicured gardens, the spa commands an impressive space of 9,500m2 (102,250ft2) with spectacular views of the ocean.

The serene beauty of the Maldives is ideally suited to the spiritual healing of yoga. A dedicated open air Chi Pavilion extends out over the sea, offering a serene and calming environment for yoga classes or simply pure meditation. A resident yoga guru offers a regular programme of complimentary Kundalini yoga, as well as personal tuition and training sessions. Complimentary classes include yoga for fat burning, yoga for deep meditation and yoga for optimum health.

Diving and snorkelling
Thilas, giris, reefs, drop-offs, corners, channels, wrecks – and visibility of up to 50 metres – make this a wonderful and safe place to learn to dive, and an equally rewarding centre for further exploration by the already qualified. Within a short distance is one of the Maldives' best shark sites, as well as the 1988 wreck of the Hembadu, the Rasfari Protected Marine Area and some excellent turtle and manta ray viewing.

Water-skiing, speed boat hire, parasailing and wakeboarding are just some of the exciting power sports available at the Water Sports Centre, with expert tuition to help guests get started

Land sports
The resort is always buzzing with the energy of island life, and there are dozens of activities to choose from every day. Excitement is just beyond the doorstep of each villa with beach volleyball, football, Pétanque and croquet. Bicycling and jogging are great ways to explore the island’s 44 hectares.

Tennis
The renowned Peter Burwash International Tennis Academy challenges players with professional coaching offered on two floodlit synthetic grass courts atop a sand surface. Individual and group instruction, following the Peter Burwash method, is available for a fee. Coaches are also available as playing partners, and are happy to arrange social play.

In thatched pavilions over water… or on Arabian carpets in the sand… guests enjoy a level of service and culinary creativity that is unsurpassed in tropical island resorts. More than 450 labels from some of the finest wine producers throughout the world are on offer at Reethi Rah. Stored in two temperature-controlled walk-in wine cellars are more than 9,000 bottles which have travelled from as far away as California, the châteaux of Bordeaux, the lush wineries of Australasia and the winelands of South Africa.
- Attire
Attire on the island is casual during the day, with guests wrapped in sarongs or kaftans and barefoot in the sand. Guests are asked to wear bathing suit cover-ups and shoes or sandals in the restaurants and bars. Island chic is the keynote for evenings and smart casual resort attire is required.
